I'M ON YOUTUBE!

Hahahaha one afternoon, I was strutting my studded Pull&Bear's biker jacket, Topshop's bandage skirt, hot red Topshop's heels and my mom vintage Aigner bag when suddenly a guy asked me to say something in front of a video camera. Actually it was a competition to get this new phone from Motorola. We had to create a dare for ourself if we actually won the phone. The person with the most impressive or interesting dare, would be picked to do the dare and won the phone. The video that you're going to show is the proof of how much i LOVE fashion ;)

Ooow and by the way, my friend Kevin Wiyarnanda also made a pledge like I did. But, it's a different one.

This buddy of mine, for a guy, actually has a great sense of style. We have been friends for 3 years and his fashion sense is getting better and better every time I meet him. Of course despite the facts that he wears his clothes more than 3 times but still, I have to give a props for him :) When this video was taken, he was wearing a leather jacket, white v-neck shirt, skinny jeans and sneakers.

From Russia with LOVE

So, basically, I come from a family that pretty much pays attention to what we are wearing. My grandmother used to be a very fashionable person back then. She still is actually, she knows all the clothes that are appealing to be looked at and the clothes that need to be thrown away right immediately. Now, I'm going to show you my aunt fashion sense. Her fashion sense is in between of mine and my sister. It has a little bit of eccentricity and edginess, but at the same time, it is very chic and following the trend. Other than my mom, grandma and sister, she is one of my fashion inspirations. Despite the fact that she is beyond pretty and genius, she is a really fun person to hang with. Here are some pictures of my aunt, Dr. Nova Riyanti Yusuf, when she spent one week in the largest country in the world, Russia.

From trench coat, to fur, to leopard, everything she wore was a perfect combination for winter! We could never go wrong if we stick tto those three items.

ps: Death can be caused due to overly high body temperature so if you are living in a country with a temperature above 25, please, don't try to pull those kind of outfits off :)

Fshion Week 2011 Street Style

Fall 2011 Fashion Trends

Now, I'm gonna do a review on Fall 2011 Fahion Trends that some of us are very curious about. I did a little bit of researches and I'll tell you what are the fall 2011 must have looks.

1. RED DEVIL
I was literally shocked when I saw that many reds on the runway on this fall season. From Michael Kors to Rodarte and Jason Wu, all added this fresh red colour on their runway. Now, red colour is a bit of a challenge to be on a garment because the outfit has to be modern enough. But, this is a no problem for these great designers.

This outfit from Jason Wu's fall ready-to-wear collection is definitely my favourite look!  It's chic, edgy, and the top has a little bit of a couture sensation with that kind of fabric.

2. The clashing of the pattern!
Apparently, pattern blocking is still a trend on the fall 2011's runway. Who can we blame for all those amazing patterns until we all want to wear them in a one shot. The clashing of the pattern is a fresh look especially for teenager. It's fun, different, creative. Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg and Thakoon were some of the designers who showed us this trend this fall season.

3. Cape, cape, cape
If Singapore is not as hot as it is, I would jump into a car right, drive to the nearest boutique that sells cape and grab them. This is my favourite look of the fall 2011 fashion trends! How the perfect those capes are, are indescribable. DKNY had put a very interesting design as it has a mixture of both cape and coat! How rad is that. Rag & Bone was also rocking the runway with their bohemian cope with fringe galore. Lat but not least, Derek Lam's sporty but sophisticated cloak.

4. Suit youself
Now, suit is not just appropriate for office hour, but also cocktail! I remember the first time I'm totally in love with suit was when I saw it on Daisy Lowe. She combined a wide black trousers with a sloppy black blazer and a white shirt inside it. From then on, boyfriend-office-suit look is a trend, including for this fall 2011 trend. Band Of Outsiders, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Tommy Hilfiger became the attention of the runway because of the suits. In my opinion, any body shapes, skin colour or height can pull off this trend. To make it simpler, maybe we can wear a blazer with a stripes shirt and denim hot pants Erin Wasson's style.

4. Luxury and Fabulous!
Leopard, leather, feather, fur are some of the definitions of luxury and fabulous! J. Mendel, a house famed for their fur, was no longer a surprise that luxury and fabulous is in their list. Joseph Altuzarra added a touch of luxe on their utilitarian separates. Prabal Gurung's pale pink fur was also the hit on the runway.

The whole outfit was something I just picked up and asked my sister to wear them and It actually looks pretty good! Hahahaha. The navy blue jeans vest is from Topshop, bandage skirt is from Topshop as well, Marilyn Monroe blouse is from ITC Mangga Dua in Jakarta and clog heels from Forever 21.

BOLD COLOURS AND STRIPES

Need to say more? I don't think so. It's pretty obvious, people! BOLD COLOUR AND STRIPES! Don't afraid to wear that many stripes and have many colours all over your body! As long as you are confident and can work it out. In my opinion, the white stripes in the outfit make everything look balance. And, I love my turquoise wedges with the whole outfit. It's a perfect amount of colours, brightness, stripes, all-in-one. Hat: Four Skin, Tank-top, Skirt: Topshop, Wedges: Aldo
